Intermediate Group Class:
Saturdays, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. -
Intermediate-Advanced Group Class:
Saturdays, 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. -
Saturday Tournaments:
Saturdays, 2:00 p.m.
3 USChess rated games with trophies for section winners.

Includes Class at 11:00 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. + Tournament at 2:00 p.m.- Makeups available via online classes (1 credit per missed class/tournament; 1 credit = 1 online class)
- Sibling Discount: Two siblings receive a 10% discount on the total price

- 4 Weeks: $160

Additional weeks can be purchased at the same rate per class. Combos expire at the end of the semester; no makeups will be provided for these packages.
Classes Only (14 Classes):
- 14 Weeks: $255

- Makeups available via online class (1 credit per missed class; 1 credit = 1 online class)
- Single Class: $25
Beginner Class (Ages 5-6):

USCF Membership:
- Required for all players:
- $20/year if purchased through the US Chess Website (instant).
- $10/year if purchased through local organizer Jim Liptrap (24-hour processing). This option is recommended and most common for Houston K-12 players. More details here.

Makeups and Online Classes:
Makeup credits are available for online classes offered from August to late December.
- Class Schedule: Sundays at 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

Panda Chess Academy, owned by National Master Jeffrey Ashton, has proudly served the Houston community for nearly 20 years. All classes and tournaments are taught and organized by Jeffrey Ashton. Online classes began in 2020 and have since gained popularity among local and international students.
Free Trials and Tours:

While we do not offer free trials, you can pay for a single class and later apply that cost toward a package.
- Example: Attend a single class for $25. If you decide to enroll in the 14-week semester package ($255), the $25 is credited toward the total, reducing the cost to $230.
